Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in the Observation department. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist professional nursing personnel in providing direct and indirect patient care, using skills and knowledge in basic nursing assistant procedures and techniques.
  • Perform basic technical skills, including CPR, taking and recording vital signs, measuring and recording fluid intake/output, applying dressings, and recognizing and reporting signs and symptoms of common diseases or conditions.
  • Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, mouth and skin care, grooming and dressing, toileting assistance, eating and hydration.
  • Provide patients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
  • Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs.
  • Document relevant patient care data.
  • May provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, and answering telephones.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in Oregon.
  • Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility, preferably in a surgical setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be able to lift patients and equipment, push/pull carts, and work in a noisy environment. They will also be required to wear personal protective equipment and follow infection control protocols.
