About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Tech to join our team at UT Health Jacksonville. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Function as primary scrub technologist for a variety of routine and complex procedures, demonstrating clinical skills with confidence and competence.
  • Maintain the sterile field, applying aseptic technique principles to ensure a safe, aseptic, and cost-effective environment for all patients.
  • Collaborate with other surgical team members to ensure seamless execution of procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program and hold current certification with one of the following: The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the National Center for Competency Testing, or another surgical technologist certification program approved by the Texas Department of State Health Service.
  • BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical/Vocational degree
  • One (1) year operating room experience
