We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to become a vital part of our Pain Management department. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, consisting of five 8-hour shifts, ensuring a work-life balance with no night or weekend shifts.
About the Role
As a Pain Management RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional nursing care to patients experiencing both acute and chronic pain. Our comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills, even if you lack specific experience in pain management.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
- Delivering thorough nursing care to patients with pain-related conditions.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement personalized pain management strategies.
- Administering prescribed medications and performing medical procedures as directed by physicians.
- Monitoring patient responses to treatments and adjusting care plans accordingly.
- Educating patients and their families on pain management techniques and self-care practices.
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions and treatments in the electronic medical record system.
- Engaging in continuous training and professional development to stay updated on advancements in pain management.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:
- A current and unrestricted RN license.
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, ideally in pain management, critical care, ICU, or emergency settings.
- Proficiency in performing nursing procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and advocate for patients.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, focused on enhancing patients' quality of life.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
