About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Development Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, specify, and develop solutions that improve the efficiency and productivity of our hardware design teams.

With a strong background in electrical engineering and software development, you will contribute to a wide range of projects focused on schematic authoring, system design, design reliability, and PCB design. Your responsibilities will include enhancing design checking, custom tool application workflows, and the design release process to PLM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and test design tools, workflows, customizations, and automation
  • Collaborate with engineering and customer success teams
  • Architect and implement data and system integration solutions
  • Act as a subject matter expert for vendors, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Estimate, prioritize, and refine project backlogs
  • Work independently and as part of a larger team
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of professional experience in the development of tools and workflows. You should be comfortable with web development, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Expertise in object-oriented programming and complex data structures is also required.

Preferred qualifications include expertise in scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python, proficiency in SQL, and experience with EDA vendor software such as Cadence, Zuken, or Mentor.

What We Offer

At Apple, we offer a competitive base pay range of $143,100 to $264,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. You will also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through our discretionary employee stock programs.

Additionally, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments, as well as relocation assistance.
