Experienced Construction Estimator

Flippo Construction Company, Inc. (FCCI) is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, estimating crew costs, and negotiating with material suppliers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specifications
• Estimate crew costs, including labor, equipment, and materials
• Negotiate with material suppliers and subcontractors
• Flag and point out potential cost risks to the Chief Estimator
• Review and finalize project estimates
• Prepare and submit bid documents
• Assume lead role in job turnover to Superintendent and project management

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Estimator for heavy highway projects
• Experience estimating bridge projects highly desired
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
