Job Summary

Wolverine Fuels is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Foreman to oversee the safe and efficient production of coal at our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground coal mining and supervisory experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Direct Hourly Employees: Provide guidance and oversight to hourly employees in continuous miner or longwall production and/or utility work.
  • Plan and Coordinate Projects: Collaborate with the Shift Coordinator to plan, organize, and schedule mining and/or utility projects.
  • Ensure Safe and Efficient Production: Supervise all aspects of coal production and/or utility work to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Implement Safety Policies: Develop and maintain a culture of safety within the team, ensuring all employees understand and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Train and Develop Employees: Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Five Years of Experience: Underground coal mining experience is essential, with a minimum of five years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Education and Certifications: A mining engineering degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Utah Mine Foreman Certification is also required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is necessary.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for success in this role.
Reporting Structure

The Production Foreman will report directly to the Shift Coordinator, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration within the team.
