We are seeking a qualified School Nurse Substitute to join our team at Ridgeland School District 122. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical support to students and staff in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care and support to students and staff in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of student health information.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure students receive necessary medical support.
- Develop and implement health education programs for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school nursing.
- Licensure that highly qualifies the applicant for the position, including Professional Educator License w/ School Nurse Endorsement (SN) and/or Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience at the elementary or middle school level is preferred.
- Previous experience in meeting the medical needs of children is required.
- Commitment to the mission of the school within the community is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work as a team member and independently is required.
- Ability to multi-task is essential.
The hourly rate for this position is $35.00.
