Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, according to hospital procedures.
- Transport patients safely and efficiently using various types of equipment and ambulation devices.
- Document patient care and treatments accurately and thoroughly.
- Monitor patients for safety and report any changes or concerns to the nurse in charge.
- Assist with restocking rooms and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Follow established infection control policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Obtain EKGs under the direction of the nurse.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current CNA certification or completion of training in nursing school that covers Patient Care Tech duties.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
