Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform labor activities in the assembly and test departments, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
  • Disassemble and inspect gearboxes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Assemble and test gearboxes, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
  • Perform deburring, cleaning, and painting tasks to prepare gearboxes for shipment.
  • Collaborate with other facility teams, including Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering, to resolve assembly and test issues.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering on assembly and test discrepancies, drawing errors, and quality issues to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Emphasize workplace safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance in all aspects of your work.
  • Develop relationships with peer groups to foster teamwork and unity of purpose.

Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, see, hear, and use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mathematical skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.
  • High school degree or equivalent and 0-2 years' experience.
