Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils, and load them into the dish machine.
  • Sort and stack clean dishes, and transport them to the cook's line and other designated storage areas.
  • Change the dishwater in the dish machine every hour to ensure optimal cleaning performance.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand, and sanitize them to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Remove trash and garbage from the dishroom and surrounding areas, and dispose of them properly.
  • Set up and break down the dishwashing area as needed, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions, and ensure they are properly labeled and stored.
  • Sweep and mop floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assemble and disassemble the dish machine as needed, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct general cleaning tasks as directed by management, including sweeping and cleaning the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster.
  • Notify management immediately if the dish machine's wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
