Job Summary:
Alto Health Care Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team in a 2E ICU - Broadway setting. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate patient care for critically ill patients, including those with renal and bone marrow transplant, oncology, and other complex medical conditions.
- Administer and manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with bedside procedures, including RSI, Tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests.
- Operate and maintain various medical equipment, including EPIC EMR, Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet, Aleris IV pumps, MOOG Feeding pumps, Phillips Patient Monitor Systems, and Hamilton Ventilator.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a large facility with over 200 beds and level 1 trauma.
- Ability to care for critically ill patients independently.
- BLS - must be AHA, ACLS - must be AHA, NIHSS, and ND or compact state RN License.
Work Schedule:
12 hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday.
Unit Information:
- 18 beds
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients IMC - 1 nurse to 4 patients
