UPMC Passavant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team on the Med/Surg Oncology Unit. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
About the UnitOur Med/Surg Oncology Unit is a dynamic and supportive environment where you will work alongside a team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals. We provide care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical oncology diagnoses, including liver, lung, and abdominal cancers, as well as post-operative thoracic surgery patients.

Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and lead others in application of the nursing process.
- Mobility and visual manual dexterity.
