Job Description and Duties

The Registered Dietitian will plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate the clinical component of Dietetic Services. Under the direction of the Dietetics Assistant Director, the incumbent will provide medical nutrition therapy to forensic clients or patients, participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, and perform other related work.

Requirements
  • Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in the duty statement
  • Extensive use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
  • May be working on a personal computer extended periods of time to develop spreadsheets, presentations, and data dashboards to meet the needs of Dietetic Services
  • May require continuous walking and standing within an 8-hour period, and prolonged sitting in front of a computer
  • Occasional test kitchen assignments will require use of kitchen equipment
  • Worksite audits may require visits to unit kitchens and client dining areas
Working Conditions

The Registered Dietitian will work in a fast-paced environment with all levels of personnel within the organization. The incumbent will be exposed to all Clinical and Support services areas of the facility. The position requires problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Travel may be required. The Registered Dietitian may work around wet surfaces and may be required to work extended hours or alternate shifts/days as necessary to complete required work.
