Role Overview:

The Obstetric Technician plays a crucial role in the nursing care and preparation of patients undergoing labor and delivery procedures. This position involves assisting the professional nursing staff within the Maternal Child Health division by performing various patient care tasks and related unit activities.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technician or OB Technician.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Scrub Tech is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • At least one year of experience as a Patient Care Technician in a hospital setting.
  • Six months of experience in an Operating Room or Labor and Delivery environment is preferred.
