Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
  • Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
  • Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
  • Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome
  • Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs
  • Respond to emergency resuscitation team code
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
