We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at the City of Selma, CA. As an EMT, you will provide emergency medical services to the community, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Basic Life Support services to ill and injured persons in the pre-hospital and inter-facility setting
- Maintain, operate, and assist in an Advance Life Support ambulance
- Administer prescribed treatment at the site of an emergency
- Perform first aid, immobilization of injuries, application of splints, administration of oxygen, and other Basic Life Support procedures
- Current Fresno County EMT 1A certificate
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - provider or instructor certification
- Current California Ambulance Driver certificate with a current Medical Examiner's card
- Valid California driver's license
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring a high degree of concentration and ability to analyze and interpret data from a wide array of sources. The position involves moderate walking, lifting of moderate to heavy moving objects, climbing, crawling, stooping, and bending.
