Job Summary and QualificationsAs an OR Registered Nurse, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team environment and will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients during procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, managing supplies, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments, administering medications, and positioning patients for procedures.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and managing supplies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN preferred.
- One (1) year minimum experience in the perioperative (OR) setting is required.
- ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
- CNOR preferred.
