Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Mammoth Mountain Canyon Lodge. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and espresso drinks to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
  • Enter orders accurately into the POS device and accept cash and charge payments.
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining the cleanliness of the service area.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards.
  • Clean equipment and workstations thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments.
  • Greet customers courteously and interact in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Serve customers quickly and efficiently, and prevent delays in serving lines.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers.
  • Serve as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process.
  • Ensure all display foods are merchandised attractively per standards. Serve food neatly and attractively per standard.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
