Medication Aide Refresher Program

At Tabitha Health Care Services, we offer a Medication Aide Refresher Program designed to help individuals regain their certification as a medication aide in the state of Nebraska.
Program Details- The program includes a 40-hour refresher course, which covers the 14 competencies identified in NE Statute Title 172 NAC 96, Section 005.
- Candidates must have been previously on the Nebraska Medication Aide Registry or provide proof of eligibility to complete the competency assessment.
- The program also includes a skills demonstration, where candidates must perform 10 skills related to medication administration with a minimum score of 70%.
- Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to re-activate their medication aide certification on the Nebraska DHHS Registry.
- The program offers a loan package of $68, which includes the refresher course tuition and state testing fees.
- Loan forgiveness will begin upon employment as a medication aide at Tabitha and will be fully forgiven at 90 days.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old for Tabitha Assisted Living Communities and at least 18 years old for all other Tabitha Living Communities.
- Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
