Care Coordinator for Special Education Students

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Care Coordinator for Special Education Students. As a valued member of our school community, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
* Provide nursing care to students with disabilities in collaboration with special education and healthcare staff to ensure high-quality personalized care and instruction.
* Promote positive safety practices within and outside school buildings.
* Implement communicable disease prevention and infection control measures based on current guidelines for universal precautions, bloodborne pathogens exposure, and hazardous medical waste disposal.
* Administer medications (subject to state and local regulations) and provide medically prescribed interventions, including nursing procedures, to students on a daily basis.
* Maintain comprehensive health records of all interventions provided to individually assigned students.
Requirements:
* Current LPN licensure in Massachusetts.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including students, parents, and educators.
* Basic life support certification (BLS) or equivalent required.
