UNIT OVERVIEW:

Hall 1 is a dedicated long-term care unit featuring 40-45 beds, designed to provide residents with daily activities alongside a comprehensive array of services and support. This unit specializes in sub-acute rehabilitation, catering to individuals with complex care needs. Staff members in Hall 1 are expected to exhibit compassion, motivation, and a commitment to assisting those in need.


POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse or Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse employs a foundational understanding of nursing principles and basic physical assessment skills to create and implement tailored nursing care plans, ensuring that residents' needs are effectively addressed.

In addition, the LPN is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit during their shift and may assume leadership responsibilities as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should possess formal knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college) and have expertise in a specialized field, with less than one year of experience. Graduation from an accredited nursing school (diploma) is required. A valid Practical Nursing license and AHA CPR Certification are mandatory.

Basic computer proficiency is essential, including familiarity with Synquest, IV Pumps, Phillips Monitoring Systems, Accucheck, EKG Machines, and Specialty Bed Operations.

Levindale Patient Care Services offers a Nursing Career Ladder, providing opportunities for advancement and professional development for Licensed Practical Nurses. The Clinical Career ladder level for new hires will be determined through established criteria during the hiring process.
