The Structures Company, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to join our team in Bothell, WA.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop advanced avionics systems for VIP and commercial aircraft models.
- Create detailed drawings and documents for project-level STCs.
- Define avionics and electrical system architecture requirements for VIP/VVIP aircraft.
- Develop and review wire diagrams and preliminary wire routing using engineering drafting tools.
- Verify and test procedures to comply with FAA design requirements.
- Collaborate with customers, FAA designees, and vendors to ensure designs meet all requirements.
- Participate in project bid processes to capture engineering and design requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and deliverables.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on technical designs and processes.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Boeing aircraft for VIP and/or commercial models.
- Aircraft interior and/or VIP retrofit experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of My Boeing Fleet for OEM data sets.
- Thorough knowledge of power distribution and certification processes.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and make decisions under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CAD data management systems.
- Experience leading employees/teams in a productive and efficient manner.
- Ability to travel as required and work outside of core business hours.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.
