Job Description

I-State Truck Center is seeking a Part-Time Shop Assistant to support our operations in South Dakota.

This role will provide direct support to multiple departments within the location, working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-12:00pm.

I-State Truck Center is a dynamic organization that provides rewarding careers for over 1,600 employees across various operating units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and check-in trucks and equipment, ensuring smooth movement on property.
  • Evaluate and maintain the facility's interior and exterior, performing minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Communicate with Service and/or Branch Managers regarding work requiring external expertise.
  • Keep the building clean and organized by performing minor cleaning duties.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Respond to maintenance reports and address issues promptly.
  • Perform snow and ice removal on sidewalks and lots as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs., and access ladders.
