NDE Auditor / Trainer Job Description

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. We're seeking a highly skilled NDE Auditor / Trainer to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Job Summary

We're looking for a seasoned NDE Auditor / Trainer with a strong background in non-destructive evaluation and quality assurance. As an NDE Auditor / Trainer, you'll be responsible for ensuring our suppliers meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address any quality issues, and develop and implement training programs to educate suppliers on our quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to enact and correct systematic problems
  • Identify and collaborate with stakeholders to better understand RCCA, manage containments, and potential improvements
  • Recommend appropriate changes to supplier status based on surveillance results
  • Interact with engineering and technicians for 3rd party clarifications
  • Engage with production management, engineering, quality, and subject matter experts to gather technical information
  • Develop policies, standards, processes, and documentation to ensure continued success
  • Proctor exams and conduct training modules for production personnel
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or Level III certification in an advanced NDE method
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Level III certification in RT and ET or combination of Level III and Level II certifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical trainer
  • Ability to quickly grasp knowledge of a diverse range of supplier capabilities
  • Practical experience in requirement and specification development
  • Ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of aerospace NDE applications
