Job Summary:The PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will be responsible for administering and monitoring anesthesia to patients during surgical and/or obstetrical procedures. This role requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients before anesthesia, including analyzing medical history and planning anesthesia delivery.
- Administer various types of anesthesia, including inhalational, intravenous, and regional anesthetics, based on anesthetic plans.
- Perform invasive procedures, such as inserting catheters, as necessary.
- Monitor and record patient functions, evaluating the need for ancillary drugs to maintain normal functioning.
- Consult with staff anesthesiologists as needed regarding patient condition.
- Document patient records, including assessment, care, and monitoring data.
- Ensure availability of required supplies and equipment before anesthetic procedures.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on anesthesia-related aspects of conditions and diseases.
- Completion of nursing course and graduate of anesthesia school.
- 2 or more years of nursing experience.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) license in the State of Kansas.
- 1 or more years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
This is a part-time position, working on an as-needed basis.
