Job Summary

Canadian Pacific Railway is seeking a certified Journeyman Carpenter to perform a wide range of duties in the construction and repair of railway infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute steel bridge repairs
  • Construct and install concrete forms
  • Drive piles and frame bridge timbers
  • Install and repair culverts
  • Rig and scaffold structures
  • Install roofing and drywall
  • Perform surveying and concrete work
  • Construct cabinets and complete interior and exterior finishing work
Requirements:
  • Hold a Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience (six years' experience in benchwork)
  • Pass the CP Rail qualifying test
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Own a set of hand tools
  • Be certified to operate explosion-activated tools
  • Hold a CROR rules card, minimum level D
  • Be comfortable working at heights with proper fall protection equipment
  • Be proficient in the safe use of common hand and power tools

Medical Requirements:
