Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator and Construction Specialist to join our team at My Florida Corp Defunct. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and performing construction tasks to maintain and repair boat access facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including excavators and trucks, to perform construction and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct inspections of boat access sites to identify repair and maintenance needs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of boat ramp assessments and maintenance activities.
  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance of boat ramps and other facilities.
  • Coordinate and assist with major repairs, renovations, and construction of new boat access facilities.
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment and other equipment necessary for construction and maintenance tasks.
  • Inventory, assess, and perform routine repairs and maintenance of uniform waterway markers.
  • Compile and enter data into the waterway marker database.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain safe operator status for operating a vessel.
  • Ability to swim and work in water year-round.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds repetitively up to 300 times per day.
  • Microsoft Office computer skills, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work well independently and with a partner.
  • Ability to work in remote rural areas.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position also requires working in remote rural areas and in water year-round.
