Join Our Team as a Partner & Lead Veterinarian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced veterinarian to join our team as a Partner & Lead Veterinarian at Livewell Animal Hospital of Bethesda. As a Partner & Lead Veterinarian, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of veterinarians and support staff, providing high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build a strong client-first and collaborative practice culture
  • Hire and manage hospital staff, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other support staff
  • Deliver excellent patient care and ongoing evaluation and management of clinical practices
  • Ensure doctors effectively communicate physical examination findings, diagnosis, and treatment plan, and educate clients on preventative care
  • Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and keep necessary logs up-to-date
  • Monitor associate doctor performance and stay up-to-date with changes in veterinary medicine through continuing education
  • Assist in developing the paraprofessional team to deliver quality care and exceptional client service
  • Ensure all staff treat clients and patients with care and respect

Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Maryland
  • 4+ years of experience as a veterinarian required
  • Leadership/management experience is a plus
  • Have the ability to lead the team through a variety of cases
  • Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
  • Compassionate team player who can uphold a great reputation with clients
  • Comfortable providing (and teaching associate veterinarians) general surgery and dentistry procedures
