Responsibilities
This position involves assessing patients' needs and creating effective treatment plans to improve their functional independence. You will work closely with patients, offering support and encouragement while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to best practice standards. The role also involves documenting patient care data, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing education and training to patients and their support systems.
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in occupational therapy, including experience working with patients who require rehabilitation services. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy is required, with a Doctorate degree preferred. You should also be licensed as an occupational therapist and have completed state-regulated CEU requirements. Experience with an EMR software is preferred, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential.
