Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal and state corporate, individual, trusts and estates, and partnership returns, exercising professional judgment to identify and resolve tax issues.
  • Research tax legislation and interpret tax code to ensure compliance.
  • Provide and maintain accurate documentation to support tax return calculations.
  • Analyze depreciation to determine the proper methodology for tax impact on client engagements.
  • Make projections on future tax liabilities and provide recommendations as part of the tax planning process.
  • Interact with client personnel regarding tax return information and deadlines.
  • Look for opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
  • Stay current on professional announcements and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with client management teams and conduct oneself professionally as a representative of the Firm.
  • Work beyond standard hours as needed and provide training to co-workers on technical areas of tax expertise.
Qualifications
  • Strong technology skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in GoSystems Tax RS, Prosystem fx Tax, and ProSystem fx Engagement a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines with accuracy, and possess excellent analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and openness to work on a variety of assignments, with the ability to multi-task and learn processes quickly.
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state tax compliance, with a strong desire to maintain a customer service approach focused on exceeding expectations.
  • At least 0-3 years of relevant tax experience.
