Job Title: Swiss Lathe Machinist

Job Summary:

Dynomax Inc. is seeking an experienced Swiss Lathe Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for setting up and running our Citizen Swiss and Samsung lathes to produce high-precision machined components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering information to determine the machining process and sequence of operations.
  • Measure dimensions and tolerances using hand measuring tools.
  • Machine parts to specifications on a 7-axis Citizen Swiss Lathe or Lathe with Live Tooling.
  • Set up and adjust holding fixtures, machine tools, and work material in accordance with work instructions.
  • Check and maintain machine cutting tools for adequacy in operation.
  • Calculate and monitor speed and feeds of the machine.
  • Ensure work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during the machining process.
  • Conduct proper inspection of first-run and in-process parts.
  • Perform accurate record keeping - log information on scrapped parts and complete production routers accordingly.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Swiss CNC and Lathe (live tooling) Machinist required.
  • Read and understand G and M codes.
  • Ability to set up and machine a variety of components.
  • Read and understand machine programming code.
  • Set up live tooling without supervision.
