Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Specialist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry in accordance with organizational and healthcare industrial laundry standards.
  • Collect and distribute clean and disinfected linens to various departments.
  • Operate laundry equipment and maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
  • Follow infection prevention guidelines to handle contaminated laundry.
  • Participate in laundry collection and sorting, as well as the handling, storage, and distribution of clean laundry.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to use a computer and prior cleaning experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods used in cleaning is helpful.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30-50lbs and push/pull up to 500lbs on flat surfaces or up and down ramps.
