Patient Transport Specialist - PRN

Turning Point Care Center is seeking PRN patient transport specialists who can work flexible hours during weekdays and/or weekends (specific availability will be discussed during the interview process). Our transport specialists are responsible for safely conveying patients to and from various destinations, both locally and over longer distances, utilizing company vehicles. The perfect candidate will demonstrate motivation, the ability to work under direct supervision, quick decision-making skills, and effective teamwork capabilities. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $17 per hour, with additional shift differential pay for hours worked between 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Work hours and days will vary.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of driving experience with passenger vehicles, vans, or buses.
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience in a patient care setting.
  • Preferred: Experience working with individuals facing substance use or behavioral health issues.
  • Possession of a valid Georgia Driver's License with a clean driving record, including no more than three moving violations in the past three years.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively without constant supervision.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is crucial; reliable transportation is necessary, as company vehicles are used for patient transport.
