Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team at AppleOne. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and testing a variety of manufactured electronics products and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, evaluate, troubleshoot to component level, quote, repair, reassemble, and test all units
  • Perform testing with procedures and documentation by developing equipment setups for undocumented requirements
  • Assemble and test experimental motor-control devices and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles
  • Test/troubleshoot to component level and board level
  • Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction of equipment, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Plan, direct, and record periodic electrical testing, and recommend or initiate modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards
  • Examine parts for conformance with dimensional specifications
  • Monitor controls and instruments
  • Coordinate and participate in installing units or systems to be tested in test fixtures, mechanical or electrical controls, cabling, power source, and indicating instruments
  • Activate controls to apply electrical or mechanical power and subject test items to successive steps in the test cycle
  • Recommend changes to ATP's as necessary
  • Confer with engineering personnel to resolve fabrication problems relating to specifications and review test plans such as types and cycles of tests
  • Review and respond to open corrective actions
  • Provide input to assist in resolving customer problems and complaints
