The Walsh Group is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective site-specific EHS plans, ensuring compliance with corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Project Managers and the management team to develop and implement EHS plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Coordinate subcontractor EHS protocols, including vendors and owner personnel working on company projects.
- Plan and coordinate work to eliminate hazards, minimize risks, and aggressively manage losses involving injuries or property damages.
- Conduct quarterly comprehensive on-site EHS audits and inspect project sites, equipment, and processes for compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Conduct accident investigations and complete incident reporting for Project Management review.
- Advise Project Management on Industrial Hygiene protocols and perform Environmental Monitoring.
- Manage the Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, ensuring proper testing and compliance.
- Provide training and education to Company personnel regarding EHS requirements, including coordination of new hire EHS orientation programs.
- Administer the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.
- Complete and provide a weekly EHS update to EHS Leadership.
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent.
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time.
- Knowledge of regulations and standards, as well as hazard recognition and injury management skills.
- Some travel required.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, and/or climb stairs or ladders.
