As a Class A CDL Tanker Operator, you will play a vital role in the logistics and transportation sector of USALCO, LLC, a prominent manufacturer of aluminum-based products utilized across various industries including water treatment and oil refining. We seek an individual who embodies a proactive mindset, thrives in a collaborative environment, and consistently upholds the highest standards of performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate USALCO tractor-tankers across diverse road conditions to deliver products to various customer locations.
  • Prioritize safety and quality in all daily operations.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with departments including Transportation, Manufacturing, and Safety.
Essential Duties:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Comply with DOT regulations and USALCO policies, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of chemical products, ensuring quality checks and documentation are completed.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
  • Work closely with site management to address operational needs and priorities.
  • Be available for overtime and adapt to varying shifts as necessary.
  • Transport USALCO products safely across state lines when required.
  • Assist with non-driving tasks related to housekeeping and safety as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Dependable and flexible, with the capacity to respond quickly to customer needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Successful completion of a road test conducted by USALCO.
  • Ability to maintain a driver’s log and utilize electronic logging systems.
  • Possession of a TWIC card or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire (cost covered by the company).
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Current Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazardous Materials endorsements, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in cargo tank operations.
  • Clean driving record with no accidents or moving violations for the past 3 years.
  • No history of DUI or DWI.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 80 to 100 pounds and manage heavy delivery hoses.
  • Capability to climb and navigate loading areas and tankers.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces as necessary.
  • Must pass and maintain a current Interstate DOT Class A driver medical certification.
  • Ability to comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
  • Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles for the duration of assigned shifts.
