POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The primary aim of this role is to oversee the retail store's personnel and operational activities to meet financial targets. Key responsibilities encompass staff management, sales optimization, merchandising, financial oversight, and exceptional customer service. This position also requires collaboration with various operational sectors to maximize efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Effectively manage store personnel and operations to fulfill financial objectives: Strategically plan and prioritize operational tasks while serving as a key resource for problem resolution.
  2. Recruit and train store personnel, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and counseling to maintain high productivity levels.
  3. Identify staff development needs and enforce disciplinary measures when necessary, including termination.
  4. Achieve or surpass revenue and expense targets outlined in the approved budget.
  5. Uphold established customer service standards and address customer complaints as needed.
  6. Design and execute merchandising strategies, including store layouts, displays, signage, and window presentations that comply with visual guidelines.
  7. Oversee the unloading of materials and the return of items to the Distribution Center.
  8. Adhere to established pricing and markdown schedules, ensuring accurate pricing on the sales floor.
  9. Utilize the Loomis Smart Safe in accordance with retail policies.
  10. Maintain accurate records of store sales, receipts, and deposits, following internal audit procedures.
  11. Prepare work schedules for employees and program participants, ensuring accurate timekeeping and record maintenance.
  12. Keep volunteer records and databases updated.
  13. Ensure the store premises, grounds, and parking areas are safe, clean, and orderly.
  14. Order supplies or request maintenance services as necessary.
  15. Drive for company business as required.
  16. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma is required; some college coursework in business or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of retail sales experience and two years of supervisory experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings, is necessary. Candidates must be adaptable to work at different locations based on business needs and possess reliable transportation for company-related travel. A valid driver's license, liability insurance, and a satisfactory DMV record are required for driving on company time.
