Job Title: Autobody Mechanic

At OTR Garage, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Autobody Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our repair team, you will play a critical role in delivering safe and quality repairs to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic scans to identify and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Consult with repair planners and perform repairs on steering and suspension, cooling systems, HVAC, SRS, interior trim, and other components.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of technicians, including apprentices and helper technicians.
  • Test drive vehicles and test components and systems using computerized diagnostic devices.
  • Repair and replace engine components, brake systems, steering and airbag systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read and interpret OEM repair procedures and service information.
  • Ability to supervise apprentice personnel.
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods and be able to walk, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch frequently.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Some travel between OTRG locations is expected.
  • Self-motivated, high energy, and a customer-focused perspective.
  • Time management and effective communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingo.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers at all levels.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be willing to continue with professional development and earn company-designated certifications.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
