Responsibilities* Engage in the Quality Assurance program of the Radiation Therapy Department.
- Participate in patient treatments involving External Beam and Brachytherapy.
- Contribute to physics-related projects.
- Assist with Regulatory Compliance activities.
- Support dosimetry in treatment planning for External Beam, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Brachytherapy.
- Assist in Radiation Safety initiatives.
- Conduct treatment planning for High Dose Remote Treatments and monitor patients during procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
Master of Science in Medical Physics.
Experience: 3-5 years of clinical experience in Medical Physics, with a preference for VMAT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, SGRT, and HDR experience.
License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver's license for work-related travel. ABR (or equivalent) certification is highly preferred. Active listing on an existing radioactive materials license is preferred. Eligibility to be an authorized medical physicist under the Iowa Department of Public Health regulations.
