Bilingual Registered Nurse Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a member of our nursing staff, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working on the Med/Surg Subacute unit (4-E). The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the healthcare team to provide direct patient care, implement individualized care plans, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for precepting and evaluating new personnel, as well as participating in educational programs to enhance your professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective direct patient care to an assigned group of patients.
  • Work within hospital and departmental policies to ensure compliance and quality patient care.
  • Implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations.
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting responsibilities upon completion of preceptor training.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs.

Requirements:

  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement state.
  • CPR certification for Healthcare/BLS providers or Professional Rescuers within 30 days.
  • Nationally accredited nursing graduate degree.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Benefits:

The University of New Mexico - Hospitals offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - 115,000 annually, depending on experience. Additional benefits include sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement, comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
