About the Role

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in our Leland office. As a key member of our dental care team, you will work closely with our dentists to provide exceptional patient care and promote oral health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient dental condition and needs through thorough medical history review, dental charting, and perio charting.
  • Deliver direct patient care using established dental hygienist procedures, including cleaning and polishing, radiographs, and sealants.
  • Take patient vital signs and maintain accurate electronic records.
  • Teach patients proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with dentists to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Perform routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning and polishing, and take radiographs as required.
  • Apply sealants and fluorides to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
  • Document patient dental history and chief complaint, and record and report pertinent observations.
Requirements
  • Completed dental hygiene certificate program or Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene.
  • Current Hygienist license for the state of North Carolina.
  • Ability to demonstrate independent thinking, exercise good judgment, and formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices.
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork approach to job responsibilities, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, procedure manuals, and written correspondence.
