  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure the truck is in good working order.
  • Logistics and Administration: Maintain accurate records of hours driven, fuel consumption, and expenses, as well as communicate any delays or issues to dispatchers.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Adhere to federal and state trucking regulations, including mandatory rest periods and weight restrictions.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
  • Experience and Certifications: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Long-Haul Truck Driver, with a certificate of completion of a professional truck driving course preferred.
  • Additional Qualifications: Hazardous material DOT certification, W.I.C. Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential), and a clean driving record are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Route Planning and Navigation: In-depth knowledge of route planning and navigation using road maps and GPS devices.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with federal and state laws regulating the road freight transport industry.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
