Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversee classroom operations, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and company standards.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for children, parents, and visitors.
  • Maintain engaging and informative displays in the classroom and hallways, including an updated Parent Board.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating, aligned with weekly themes and our curriculum.
  • Supervise and assist children during activities, applying positive discipline techniques as necessary.
  • Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Complete all required classroom documentation accurately, including daily reports and attendance records.
  • Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers to maintain an orderly classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, offering timely updates on their child's progress and classroom activities.
  • Identify and address any issues within the classroom and collaborate with staff to resolve them.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's degree (or equivalent credits) in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, Child Development, Family Studies, or a related field.
