Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Local Drayage, Inc. in Merrillville, IN. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the picking up and delivering of freight from start to finish through communication between drivers, in-office staff, and outside customers.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of Intermodal dispatcher experience, with knowledge of both domestic and international work preferred. They should possess effective communication and customer service skills through multiple platforms, including phone and email. Strong computer skills and the ability to trace inbound containers, schedule delivery and pick-up appointments, and keep customers informed on the status of their loads are also essential.

In this role, you will exchange load information with drivers to ensure they can complete loads efficiently. You will also collect load information from drivers, including in/out times and shipment details. Additionally, you will be able to correctly REZ containers from one customer to another and perform other tasks to assist the lead dispatcher.

The salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include full-time employment, paid vacation, and medical benefits.
