Quality Control Specialist

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of products by inspecting them against specifications and assisting manufacturing with identifying and solving issues related to rejects. The work environment is an ISO 7 cleanroom and requires gowning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret specifications and engineering drawings to inspect in-process and finished goods
• Use measurement tools such as calipers and gage pins to perform dimensional inspections of goods
• Communicate any out-of-specification parts to operations/engineering and assist with root cause analysis
• Perform environmental monitoring of the ISO cleanrooms
• Perform incoming inspection on raw materials and accept/reject the material according to specifications
• Maintain area cleanliness and serve as an ambassador for contamination control in the ISO spaces
• Use Microsoft Office Suite programs to log and communicate results and nonconformities
• Assist with customer complaint investigations
• Conduct required QC inspections during equipment and product validations
• Participate in internal audits of the Quality Management System
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in a science or relevant experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience preferred
• Effective and concise communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to use testing equipment and supplies accurately and efficiently
• Previous experience working within a cleanroom environment preferred
• Medical devices or medical manufacturing experience is highly desired
