About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for supporting our attorneys in various legal matters.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our litigation department, assisting our attorneys in the preparation, filing, and management of various legal documents and court proceedings.

Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda on various litigation issues.
  • Coordinate and manage the e-filing process in various courts and jurisdictions.
  • Assist in the preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and meetings.
  • Manage case files and maintain updated case management systems.
  • Review, organize, and analyze discovery materials.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal - strong preference for plaintiff personal injury litigation experience.
  • Proficiency in e-filing in various courts and jurisdictions.
  • A bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and rules of court.
  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
