Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse to join our team at LHC Group, Inc. in the Kenner area and surrounding communities.

Job Summary

The Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients in their homes, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve and maintain continuity of care.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized plans of care in accordance with federal and state program requirements.
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including wound care, medication management, and education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Ensure patient eligibility and medical necessity for services, as defined by payer source and agency policy.
  • Develop and revise individualized plans of care and/or service plans according to federal and/or state program requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in pediatric home care or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
