At Westminster Communities of Florida, we are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position at one of our beautiful waterfront life plan communities located near downtown Bradenton.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role:

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide occupational therapy services to our residents. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to develop and implement care plans that promote independence and quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor resident progress and communicate with occupational therapists
  • Carry out established resident care plans and goals as designated by occupational therapists
  • Assist occupational therapists during resident evaluations
  • Maintain documentation in our system of resident activities, record progress, and document billing activities
  • Perform resident home assessments as part of the discharge process as directed by occupational therapists
  • Perform resident screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by occupational therapists

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree from an AOTA-accredited program
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in states that regulate the Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and residents

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in healthcare, preferably in occupational therapy
