Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and prepare medications for dispensing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy, taking into account patient allergies, medication interactions, and other relevant factors.
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians and students, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients, providing educational information and answering questions.
  • Document interventions and patient interactions in the medical record.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, plus 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist in a retail or hospital setting.
  • Pharmacy technician license through the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy, or eligibility for AR licensure.
