Exciting Coaching Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Coach. This position offers a chance to contribute to the development of young athletes in a supportive educational environment.

  • Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Florida Educator's Certificate in any subject area.
  • Knowledge of first aid, injury prevention, and CPR is essential.
  • Must be available for practices and games outside of regular school hours.

Note: Certified cheerleading coaches for non-competitive teams are not required to hold a Florida Educator's Certificate.

Completion of the 20-hour Sports First Aid course mandated by the Hernando County School District through Human Kinetics is a prerequisite. Further details will be provided internally.

Compensation: Salary is determined according to the Differentiated Pay for Additional Duty/Supplemental Salary Schedule as outlined in the Hernando County Teachers' Association (HCTA) Contract.

Flexible Duty Hours: This position offers flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the program.

Immediate Placement: Not a requirement for this role.
